Our mission is to provide hands-on educational experiences about the unique Hudson River estuary's it’s ecological, cultural, and historical aspects as well as strategies for climate resiliency.
The Center for the Urban River at Beczak (CURB)
An alliance of Sarah Lawrence College and Beczak. The mission of CURB is to advance environmental knowledge and stewardship by providing high quality K-12 environmental education for the local community.
Climate Resilence Demonstration Projects
Beczak has begun a series of new projects involving climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies involving CO2 reduction and energy savings (see inside brochure).
Community Education and Recreation
Beczak provides community education programs on environmental issues as well as fitness and arts programing. We encourage community groups to use the building.
